High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is an emerging technology used in advanced medical research and treatment techniques. For this project, the research team at ETH Zurich had developed a concept for a microscopic robotic device that could operate using HIFU-based mechanisms. Our role was to transform this conceptual idea into detailed visual representations that could communicate the technology effectively. Using the conceptual inputs provided by the researchers, we developed a 3D model and created high-quality renders that illustrated the structure and design of the micro-robot. Special attention was given to accurately portraying the device’s scale, materials, and operational context while maintaining a visually engaging presentation suitable for academic and scientific audiences. The resulting visuals were used in research papers, presentations, and other scientific communication materials. Completed in collaboration with Designing Alley, the project helped translate a complex technological idea into a clear and visually compelling representation that supported the research team’s communication and documentation efforts.
